Welcome to the KWS breeding demonstration which will take you through a short history of maize genetics. Andrew from KWS follows maize breeding from the 1900’s to the start of 1930’s crosses, the 1970/80’s hybrid breeding right through to the modern F1 hybrids.

The video describes the base genetics involved in modern day hybrid breeding for the UK Scandinavia and most of Northern Europe.
